Abstract

Cellulose acetate fiber has good physical and mechanical properties, and both natural fibers and synthetic fiber are widely used in cigarette filter materials. However, due to the acetylation of the hydroxyl groups on the cellulose molecule chain, the properties of the acetate fiber are stable. Cellulose acetate fiber is difficult to be degraded, and the environment will be polluted. In the future, more research will be focused on reducing the degree of substitution of acetate fiber, on improving the biodegradability of the fiber, and increasing its utilization efficiency as cigarette filter material.
