Retama monosperma is a woody shrub exhibiting morphological characters of the vegetative system related to xerophytism.
It adapts to severe climatic conditions by the morphological or physiological aspect, are designed to limit the effects of moisture deficit, which slows water loss and evaporation perspiration from tissues or activate physiological mechanisms that allow survival.
