Abstract

Higher incidence of depression and suicide related to COVID-19 became a social problem. A 30’s male heavy smoker suicidal attempt case is reported, whose brain MRI, taken 6-months later of his mild COVID-19 pneumonia, having been treated without any medication such as heparin, showed multi-particulate high intensity in T2-weighted image. Multi-microthrombosis in the parietal region is thought to be a cause of his depressed state and anosognosia. Brain imaging is an important examination to detect vascular elements of neuropsychiatric symptoms of COVID-19.
