Abstract

The aim of theory of embodiment is to explain body-mind relationship. In recent years, with the rapid development of cognitive science, this theory has become a hot topic for Chinese scholars. This paper, on the basis of relevant literature retrieved from source journal of CSSCI and Chinese core journal in CNKI Database from 2011 to 2019, analyses the research states quo of the theory in China with the conduction of statistical visualized analysis. It is found that its application mainly embodies in four aspects: pedagogy, art, psychology, literature. It points out the research deficiencies of the theory in China such as little research on the consistency of the role of body in cognitive process, narrowly applied scope and a lack of empirical research. Practically this research can provide an general review about application of the theory of embodiment and enlightenment for further research.
