Abstract

After isolation, identifying and screening of Amylolytic bacteria from soil, we obtained Bacillus cereus as positive strain. The different effects of pH and potato peels concentrations on Amylase production were studied. As a result pH 7, 15% peels concentration were the best condition for Amylase activity. The effect of UV radiation exposure at different time (0, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 minutes) was used to mutate Bacillus cereus., the results revealed that there is an increasing in amylase activity of Bacillus cereus after exposure to UV, while there is a decreasing in Bacillus cereus growth. Determination of amylase activity, depend on assay enzyme extract against standard curve of maltose.
