Abstract

Olive is an important and economical plant in the Middle East. Asexual propagation, the conventional Olive propagation has many limitations. Olive propagation needs an alternative method for faster multiplication. Nodal segments from young Olive scions were cultured on MS media fortified with plant growth regulators mainly auxin and cytokinin. The results showed that many responses could been seen with varying concentrations of plant growth hormones on bud shoot induction on explants and growth of micro shoots.
